The training used to train elite high school and collegiate football players involves significant amounts of weight lifting. Weight lifting is a compressive activity, resulting in the transmission or large amounts of tension through the tissues of the body. Young tissues need normalization from compressive training no different than adult tissues. The best way to do this is through ELDOA and Myofascial Stretching techniques.
