Talking Points From Global Postural Stretching Lecture (Part 1)

The following “talking points” were discussed in the most recent Global Postural Stretching Course, part of the L.A.-SomaTraining Program, organized by Guy VOYER DO.

“The simple movement in the body does not exist,” according to VOYER. “I want you to STOP the current thinking “that the muscle does this, the ligament does that, etc.!”

This way of thinking is dated!

photo-2It is too linear and does not respect Tensegrity or the Complexity paradigm. When you work with a person you are not working with a body… a cadaver, you are working with a human being who is dynamic and complex.

The tissue is rich in water. In histology this is the SOL… the GEL and the SOL.

In the body you have intracellular water and extracellular water.

The GAG process is the movement of water. Not all fasciae are the same hence for each fascia you change the process of the GAG process.
