Reading Food Labels: Some Things You May Not Know

It’s getting harder and harder to decipher food labels.  Gluten-free packaged foods contain guar gum and xantham gum plus carrageenan, a colloidal extract from carrageen seaweed which has been implicated in certain stomach and colon cancers.
