Legacy Lifestyle News: Eating (Good) Fat is Good For You!

Last month, David Getoff, clinical Naturopath, came to Dallas to speak for the members and guests of the Legacy Sport & Wellness Club. The topic was Toxins and Toxicity but a big part of the two presentation on this topic – FATS… and how eating fats is GOOD for you vs. what has been taught and reinforced by public policy and programming.

Just a few pearls from that talk:

• low fat diet – sun will be more harmful to you

• can’t detox on a low fat diet – inadequate fat intake will reduce the ability of the existing fat cells to release stored chemicals

• best fats are those that come on the food – 300 to 400% more Omega-6 in grass-fed meat

• body’s preferred source of energy is fat
