ELDOA a Replacement for UnNecessary Spinal Fusions?

By October 29, 2013December 9th, 2014Legacy Sport & Wellness Blog

Back pain is one of the most common reasons a person visits a doctor. In general some form of pain medication is prescribed and in many instances physical therapy is recommended. The next step is usually a surgical or minimally invasive procedure.

But how necessary are surgical procedures and more importantly how successful are they? Do people feel better from just rest alone?

Or is there a better better alternative?

More than 465,000 spinal fusions were performed in the United States in 2011, according to government data, and some experts say that a portion of them — perhaps as many as half — were performed without good reason.
