In the world of professional sports, we have seen players get addicted to pain killers for the simple reason they need to play week in and week out, with injuries that have not been resolved with therapy. It starts with the first time a person-player takes pain killers and realizes how EASY it is to keep doing so, and maintaining a high level of play for extended periods of time. For the general public, pain killers can be overprescribed by physicians who are swamped with clients-patients demanding help for their pain. Pain medication addiction is discussed in the new ELDOA program levels I and 2, and the “Correct Your Back Pain ELDOA workshop hosted by Legacy Sport & Wellness Center in Dallas.
