Legacy and The Bridges

By June 11, 2014December 9th, 2014Claudia's Corner

Mid-July, Legacy will be in its new Center, which is “At the Foot of the Bridge”…the Continental Pedestrian Bridge.  The Grand Opening Ceremony for the Continental Pedestrian Bridge is Sunday, June 15th with festivities all day on the bridge and on the Trinity Levee beneath the bridge.

This bridge and the Calatrava Bridge are gateways over the Trinity River into Oak Cliff from the Design District and downtown Dallas.  If you haven’t been to this part of town lately, you have a surprise in store for you.  Businesses, like Legacy Sport & Wellness Center, are moving into this area.  The city is revitalizing the Design District and Oak Cliff has developed Trinity Groves just at the other end of the bridges with unique food venues, gyms, and plans for much more retail and living space along the Trinity.  Canoe trips are easy to book.  Bikes can be rented for rides across the Continental.  Walks along the levee are a nice way to be in nature and see an urban skyline at the same time.

If you want to walk the bridge, email Legacy and we will be happy to join you!
