Dallas Trinity River Levee, Then and Now

By June 19, 2014December 9th, 2014Legacy Sport & Wellness Blog

Recent history seemed to pit Dallas and Oak Cliff against each other, but now with the Calatrava Bridge, the Continental Pedestrian Bridge, the Trinity Strand Trail and the Trinity Skyline Trail going strong, the two parts of Dallas seem to be coming together.

The new Legacy Sport & Wellness Center is “At the Foot of the Bridge” exactly where the Continental Pedestrian Bridge begins on the Dallas side of the Trinity River.  Legacy participated in the Trinity River Revel during the opening on June 15, 2014 and we have pledged to do something on the Trinity Skyline Trail every week.  This is a very exciting time for Legacy and for our city…the Design District is going to be revitalized in the coming years as businesses like Legacy and Red Star Bike shop move into the area.  OakFit Gym is on the Oak Cliff side of the bridge along with all the new eating venues at Trinity Grooves.

Should you want to walk the Continental Bridge or walk or bike on the Trinity Skyline Trail or the levee itself, email Legacy and we will go with you.  Can’t wait!Bridge 7
