Football and hockey seasons are here and that means the topic of concussions will move to the fore-front of news reports. This is a complex topic as it has such a significant impact on so many parts of society reaching all the way down to the youth sport level.
I am confident in writing about this topic having grown up in Texas and having played football all my life, including while in college at SMU after the death penalty. Additionally, I have consulted and worked intensively with numerous professional hockey players as well as consulted for several teams in North America.
Concussions are something that the current medical model is not set-up to manage accordingly. It requires a complex approach including the use of lifestyle management principles and use of the ELDOA exercise created by Guy VOYER DO.
