Many of the wellness clients who we see initially begin with some type of complaint – for example, back pain.  With a well-designed program, complimented with private sessions, they improve.

The next step is what we call “Return to Play” or “Return to Life”.  In this phase, global exercises, for example, erector muscle training, are needed and compliment their specific exercises.   For this, specific equipment is required.  Our gym has just about everything a wellness client needs in order to progress.

For the remainder of the year, clients with a Home Program are welcome to use our gym facilities in Open Gym times at no charge…or schedule a Drop-In session with Claudia in the Business Office.

Legacy News


Thursday, this week, was full of good stuff!  The Semi-Private Hip & Pelvis Workout was a half hour of great glute exercises, with sub-umbilical abs taught for good measure.

We had the Cold Plunge set up and several clients took advantage of that after their Sauna sessions.

Saturday morning, November 18, the Center will host another Wellness Exercise Tutorial.  Each Tutorial focuses on different aspects of being well, and how to improve the outcomes in your wellness program.

This weekend’s Tutorial focuses on using the Factors of Progression in an ELDOA posture to accomplish several objectives:

  • to improve the awareness within your body
  • to learn how to increase myo-fascial tension within the myo-fascial chains and how to link those chains within the ELDOA exercise
  • to enhance the intensity and improve the quality of the muscle contraction during the ELDOA exercise (the rigor).

When all of these are used in combination during the group workout and in your Home Program, the results in your training session improve.

Sports and Performance News

Most sports performance training programs focus on the variables that increase strength, speed, and size.  These are important.

However, equally if not more important, is DURABILITY.  In professional sports, and elite amateur athletics, playing every game throughout the season is critical to success.

The same variables that make one bigger, faster, and stronger if used throughout the season will most likely result in less durability!

The solution for this is a customized sports performance program utilizing the SomaTraining and ELDOA exercises organized in a yearly periodization (calendar plan).

December 16.  ELDOA Level 1 Certification Course

Saturday, December 16th: ELDOA Level 1 Course (a one-day course)

ELDOA 1 is an educational course for everyone!

No prior knowledge of anatomy or biomechanics is required.  Learn the most frequently used ELDOA exercises and how they can benefit everyone.

We invite all our clients and the members of our community to enroll in this education seminar.

Prior to Registration, Legacy Sport & Wellness will host a one- hour ELDOA Wellness Workout.  There is no charge for the morning workout if you enroll for the ELDOA 1 seminar.

NEW:  The 2024 Winter School:  The tentative dates for the 2024 Winter School are January 4th to the 7th.  Additional dates can be added based upon student demand.

The tentative outline for Winter Intensive includes the following courses:  Pumping of the Upper Limb and Temporal-Mandibular Joint, Pumping of the Pelvis and Trunk, Strengthening of the Upper Limb and Trunk, and Myo-fascial Stretching. We plan to finalize the dates and curriculum in the next two weeks.
