I had the pleasure of getting to go to Legacy Sports and Wellness last week. I have been an athlete and super active for most of my life. My main disciplines are rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, and endurance sports like Ironman. Back in Feb of 2022 I started having severe nerve pain in my neck and down both arms. This past year has been a whirlwind of doctors appointments, MRIs, and trying different forms or therapy. Unfortunately, everything has lead to more and more disappointment. There have been some areas of subtle improvement, but all in all I remained the same as when the injury began. I began working with Andrew Johnson at Triumph Training here in Atlanta back in October of this past year. Andrew like Legacy utilizes a lot of the SOMA Training methods taught by Guy Voyer. Working with Andrew was the fist time that I felt that I was starting to move in a positive direction. In March of this year we concluded that my recovery had started to become somewhat stagnant. Andrew recommended we reach out to Scott at Legacy to get his insight. I came to Legacy for a 3 day intensive and to work with Scott. I can honestly say that I was absolutely blown away by the whole experience. Scott is one of the most thoughtful practitioners I have ever worked with, and has a next level understanding of anatomy and body mechanics. Within my 3 days we formulated a plan that I can take back to Atlanta and continue to work with Andrew to build upon. I received the highest level of care from Scott, and cant say enough about him Claudia and the whole team at Legacy. They really are the full package and make you feel right at home at their facility. Also during my time there I was able to enjoy the benefits of using their world class sauna as well. I have returned home and feel that I now have the tools and resources to make a full recovery at some point. If you are at a point in your recovery where you feel hopeless working with Scott and Claudia and the team at Legacy is pivotal in regaining that hope that you need to heal!
