With a number of amateur and professional athletes who consult with the Legacy Sport & Wellness Center in Dallas the topic of “sports drinks” and recovery always comes up a some point in time! Popular sports drinks that typically sponsor big events, professional athletes and teams contain high fructose corn syrup and other ingredients that are not beneficial for top performance (see pasts posts). Instead, we recommend the following- coconut water… in combination with building a base diet.
