Stretching News: Stretch, Don’t Stretch…

Fascial Stretch, Yoga Stretch, Resistance Stretching, PNF Stretching, Myofascial Stretching, ELDOA… are you confused? This summer the ELDOA will be introduced at the 2nd annual Resistance Stretching Conference in July. The presentation:  Address the Cause vs. Treat the Symptoms.  Legacy will touch on some of the confusion on this topic: for example, playing competitive sports in not a natural movement, or comparable to building a house or any other profession for that matter; therefore, the warm-up for a competition is needed. For the construction workers, find one that doesn’t have back pain or a musculoskeletal issue related to repetitive use. There is a place for Myofascial Stretching and ELDOA as well as muscle reinforcement- GLOBAL patterns and specific analytical exercises, but is is specific to the person and their case. This is a topic that we discuss in detail in our Prevention exercise and REGEN Workshops at the Legacy Sport & Wellness Center.
