Each client and their case is unique so there are no recipes with respect to program design, but a general rule of thumb at our Center in Dallas is to teach a person to master their gravity line. After this is accomplished, the first “global exercise” we teach is the squat. It is the best exercise to use with respect to the gravity line and the spine. Only after a client can squat properly will we use the dead lift.
