Creating Happy Genes

By April 29, 2013December 9th, 2014Daily Posts/Tips

Research in the fields of biology and epigenetics shows that our thoughta dn feelings affect the expression or our DNA.

The development and maintenance of an organism is orchestrated by a set of chemical reactions that switch parts of the genome off and on at strategic times and locations. Epigenetics is the study of these reactions and the factors that influence them.

Thoughts and feelings can be considered ‘epigenetic factors’; that is, each is seen as an environmental factor that influences our genetic health.

We have the power to create feelings of happiness, peace and relaxation and our genes respond to those feelings. The reverse is also true: by focusing upon negative characteristics in others that focus causes us to geel negative and our genes responds to those feelings as well.

We are the masters of our own fate.
